Harmony Assistant is software used to compose and edit music with the help of a computer. The advanced harmony features allow composers to quickly and efficiently create melodies, including musical accompaniments, various instruments, as well as drum patterns. It comes with SoftSynth, a built-in software synthesizer that produces high-quality audio output on a standard sound card, even without an external MIDI device. SoftSynth also includes hundreds of different instruments.
Harmony Assistant can open and save files in various formats, including MIDI, WAV, AIFF, MP3, OGG, TAB, ABC, XML and more.
